Annual Report 2005

GREEN AID
Registered Charity Number: 1102151

Report of the Trustees for the year 2005

This report on the activities of Green Aid is for the second year from the inception of the Charity, 1 September 2004, to 31 August 2005.

This year the charity was able to distribute the funds received during the year while maintaining the reserve built up last year which the Trustees believe should be sufficient reserve to enable the Charity to fulfil its objectives in the coming years.

The principle fund raising activity is through the activities of our Chairman, Colin Green.

Green Aid is grateful for the substantial contributions received from:

  • Alvarion Ltd
  • Amadeus Capital
  • Carmel Ventures Ltd
  • Celltick Technologies Ltd
  • Jerusalem Global Ventures
  • Novadent Ltd
  • Pitango Ventures

And we are grateful to them for their support.
We are particularly grateful for the generous support of Alvarion Ltd.

During the year we have made significant donations the following charitable institutions:

  • United Jewish Israel Appeal
  • The Organization of Israel’s Terror Victims
  • British Friends of Shalva
  • International Coalition for missing Israeli Soldiers
  • Friends of Magen David Adom
  • The Ha’emek Hospital in Afula
  • Kingston and District Synagogue

We have also made a large number of smaller donations to a wide range of charities working in fields relevant to our Objects.

Green Aid also administered the Antithesis Charitable Trust. This fund distributed CDs recorded specially for it by the artiste “Antithesis” with all the net sale proceeds being
devoted to the objects of the Charity. To date, from the proceeds two donations each of £1000 each have been made to the United Jewish Israel Appeal and the International
Coalition for Missing Israeli Soldiers in the subsequent financial year.

We would also like to acknowledge with thanks the help and support from Philip Weinberg of Marks Bloom of Kingston Upon Thames
